About Komiks.dk
Komiks.dk 2010
A big thank you from Komiks.dk!

Another festival is over, and two years of planning, imagining and creating has come to an end.

The organizers of the festival are all tired and over-worked, but it was worth it! For three wonderful days the art of comic books was celebrated in Copenhagen and more people than ever showed up to be part of the celebration.

We tried to showcase the diversity in the comic book medium through our events and the comic creators invited to the festival. From the great American graphic novel to manga from both Japan and Europe. From the European album tradition to experimental underground comics and web-comics. From literary works aimed at an adult audience to cartoons aimed at the comic readers of tomorrow – the children.

We have to say that we are rather pleased with the festival. But even more so with the amount of support we got from both the Danish comic book community and the audience who decided to show up for the festival and make it a success.

Instead of naming a select few we are just going to say this: Thank you to all who helped us organize the festival or make it in any way possible and thank you to everyone who decided that our festival was a good way to spend a weekend.

This is Komiks.dk 2010. Signing off.

Signed, special prints of Chris Wares Komiks.dk poster!

A chance to buy the limited edition special printing of Chris Ware's poster for Komiks.dk 2010.

Graphic novelist Chris Ware was one of the main attractions at this years festival, and he even created one of our amazing posters. A special poster printed on non glossy, thick paper was sold at the Komiks.dk stand during the festival weekend. Mr. Ware was kind enough to sign a limited number of these posters, which can now be bought right here on this web site.

The available posters are as follows:

7 posters signed by Chris Ware at the festival with a silver pen. These are 80 Us dollars or 64 Euro or 56 UK pounds a piece + postage and handling.

23 posters signed by Chris Ware at the festival with a blue colored pencil. These are also 80 US Dollars or 64 Euro or 56 UK pounds a piece + postage and handling.

We also have a limited number of unsigned posters available. These are 20 Dollars or 15 Euro or 12 UK pound a piece plus postage and handling.

All posters are from the special printing.

See you tomorrow!

The first day of Komiks.dk 2010 is over!

Every international guest made it to Copenhagen – even those from Iceland – and the convention floor was filled with happy, comic loving people.

The second day starts at 10.00 AM on Sunday! See you there for another day of comics and celebration.

Another amazing day at Komiks.dk!

Is there a better way to spend a Sunday than by browsing comic book shops, attending workshops, listening to comic creators talking about their special line of work or getting the hottest, hippest graphic novel, manga or comic book signed by the artist or the writer?

We don’t think so. Which is just one of the many reasons why Komiks.dk is open for business on this fine, spring Sunday.

The doors open at 10.00 AM and we are open until 19.00 PM. We end the day with an amazing auction, where you can buy original artwork from some of the festival’s many guests. The auction starts at 17.00 PM.

Welcome to another day of Komiks.dk!

Komiks.dk is a roaring success!

The convention site is buzzing with people on this fine Saturday afternoon!

Comic enthusiasts in all ages, shapes and sizes have come to celebrate comics in all their glory.
